I'm cautiously optimistic that if the devs get the funding to continue patching VII to release quality, it could be a contender with V for second best HoMM. Ubisoft is being accused of deceptive marketing pertaining to the Heroes of Might and Magic VII collector’s edition. I know its not saying much, but VII exceeded my low expectations.

VII feels a lot like V to me, and so far I'm enjoying it even with all the bugs, but I purchased it with relativly low expectations based on my expereince with VI (which even now has its share of bugs that will probably never be fixed). I did not think VI was as horrible as some people did, but they made enough changes in VI that it just didnt feel like I felt HoMM should feel (I put in a decent number of hours on VI, but its the only HoMM since I started playing the series (back with 3) that I got bored before I finished the campaign (I'll probably finish it eventually, I have to be in 'just the right mood' to want to play it)). the last hero cant die(i already finished one scenario without problem like that.ĭid you curse my game?!?! load or something resolve it?Įven in its current state, I'm gettign more enjoyment out of VII than VI. it could easily be the best heroes game if it would be more or less bugfree.ĭamn. Its so unbelievably superb gameplaywise and so unbelievably abysmal in terms of polishing. only a few early acces alphas were worse then this. nothing helped not even reloading or restarting.)įurthermore in my 20 hours of playtime i've seen more bugs in this game then in any other game i've played in my life, including MOST (but not all ofc) early access games on steam. the game told me there are no heroes left but i couldn'T take over the city because the hero was in it and after killing it he immediately (literally 1 second after the battle) respawned with his base units. really ridiculously bad (the last main hero of the last ai just bugged out and stuck in the last city even though i killed him like 10 times. out of 2 skirmishes i did i couldn'T finish one becaus it bugged out at the very end. unfortunately its nearly unplayable because it has so many (and even gamebreaking) bugs.
